General Manager/ Managing Editor - Deniliquin Newspapers Pty Ltd
We have an outstanding opportunity for a self-motivated individual to join Deniliquin Newspapers Pty Ltd as Managing Editor or General Manager.
This is a senior role with dual responsibility: driving high-quality, compelling content across print and digital platforms, and ensuring strong commercial and operational performance.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
You will be confident in content strategy and audience engagement and show a strong grasp of digital publishing.
You may come from a newsroom, media, or communications background or bring transferable leadership experience from another sector.
You will also need to be comfortable with (or willing to learn) the commercial side of running a media business: understanding how content drives revenue, overseeing operations, and managing diverse teams across editorial, advertising, and production.
To succeed in this role, you will need to be:
• Organised and forward-thinking, able to juggle priorities and meet deadlines
• Independent, with strong decision-making skills and a hands-on approach
• Community-minded and ready to be an ambassador for local journalism and advocate for the community
• Capable of working flexibly, including some evenings and weekends
• A licensed driver and willing to travel as needed
