Membership of Country Press NSW is open to newspapers published in NSW outside the Sydney metropolitan area, that are published regularly and which confirm to a literary and technical standard set by the Association's Council.

Membership is also open to publishers of magazines and books and desktop publishers as well as printers of newspapers, magazines and books. However all must be situated outside of the Sydney metropolitan area.
