We not only serve our communities, but live in them as well
Over the years, Country Press has conducted council meetings, training sessions and conferences in regional areas.
In 2009, two free training sessions were held in Tamworth specifically to assist members. One session identified advertising ideas from published stories and the other outlined methods and benefits of conducting co-operative advertising promotions.
During 2008/9 Country Press initiated a significant promotion specifically raising awareness of Country Health. Graphics, artwork and content were provided to all members and they were encouraged to enlist local support and produce their own high-impact feature.
Sessions and programs such as these are extremely well received by members. With the association delivering both sessions and campaigns direct to regional areas, costs both in dollars and time are significantly reduced.
The association is also heavily involved in government lobbying, especially at state level. This includes making representation on various issues affecting our communities in regional and rural New South Wales, as well as promoting the importance of effective government communication in our member newspapers.
Members are encouraged to advise the association of any needs or assistance they may require as well as any successful projects they have conducted, so all may share in the success and promotion of our newspapers to the communities we serve.
